I went to Belfast for two months feb & march 2026 to participate in an issues-based art study program. The exchanged happened between my acadamy (Breitner), and the Artez university of Arts in Arnhem. the group was an interdisciplinary mix of students from fine Arts, Visual arts, Dance and Theatre. In Belfast, we worked with community centers, which serve a crucial role, much more so as in the Netherlands. The interesting issues we focused on are the effects of conflict, such as the Troubles.

Wall murals are a common sight in Belfast, often with a political charge. We made a collaborative mural inside the Shankill Road Mission building cafe, inviting the neighbourhood in to participate.

over the course we also created a personal theatre performance to share back with the local community (leaders) how we experienced Belfast. back in the Nethrlands we performed an altered version to our friends, family and colleagues.
